VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

• We need committed volunteers, who truly want to help the animals, to help us at our events.  It can be hard, but rewarding work.  If you are interested in helping us help the animals at the shelter and in our community, please contact us at mitchellanimalrescue@yahoo.com.  
  
• Volunteers are needed for ideas and assistance in organizing fundraisers for  special projects, such as a spay/neuter program.  We would also like to assist the foster parents with their expenses from these funds. 
  
• If you would like to volunteer for fundraising, send us an email at mitchellanimalrescue@yahoo.com.  
  
• Sometimes we need to take an animal to a breed specific rescue or if we have an animal that doesn't get placed in a reasonable amount of time, we transport to another rescue with the hopes that they can find a new home elsewhere.  We don't have enough fosters to keep all the animals we rescue.  If you think you could spare some time, usually on the weekend, to drive these animals to another rescue or meet another transporter along the way, please let us know.
  
•  Person with drive and confidence to head up a capital fund campaign.  We would like to build our own facility, but it will take a great amount of money.  With such few steady volunteers, we find ourselves so busy with day to day operations that we don't have the time needed to dedicate to the campaign.  If you or someone you know is interested in seeing a new community friendly shelter in this area, please let us know.
  
• Occassionally we have pets that need a ride to Globe University in Sioux Falls.  They have a vet tech program and do alot of our vetting.  These trips are usually short notice.  If you would like to help us with getting these pets to Sioux Falls, call 605-770-2170.
